Nigeria’s Minimum Wage: Will Workers Strike for More?

While Nigeria’s workers contemplate a strike, the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) awaits President Bola Tinubu’s decision on a new minimum wage. The Tripartite Committee has proposed figures, but the NLC says the government’s proposal of N62,000 is insufficient.

This news story suggests that a strike may be looming if the government doesn’t increase the minimum wage to a level that the NLC finds acceptable. The previous president increased the minimum wage from N27,000 to N30,000, and the NLC is hopeful that President Tinubu will follow suit.

This is a critical issue for Nigerian workers, as the current minimum wage may not be enough to keep up with the rising cost of living. By targeting keywords like “Nigeria”, “minimum wage”, and “strike”, this rewritten title is more likely to rank higher in Google search results.

Elon Musk recently shared that his child has passed away, expressing feelings of being deceived about their gender identity

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, recently disclosed information regarding his child’s gender transition and choice to change her name.

Remember that Elon Musk’s estranged child legally obtained her name and gender change at the Santa Monica courthouse in California on June 22, 2022.

In an interview with Dr. Jordan Peterson, Musk expressed his reservations about gender-affirming medical procedures, labeling them as “child mutilation and sterilization.”

He also discussed his 20-year-old child, Vivian Jenna Wilson, who underwent gender reassignment surgeries.

“I was essentially deceived into signing documents for one of my older sons,” Musk informed Peterson during a Daily Wire interview, where he referred to his child by their previous name.

“This occurred before I fully comprehended the situation, and with the presence of COVID, there was a lot of confusion, and I was informed that (Musk’s child) might take their own life.”

The SpaceX founder mentioned that the procedures are performed on minors “who are well below the age of consent” and voiced his agreement with Peterson’s stance that those advocating for such practices should be imprisoned.

“I was deceived into this,” Musk stated. “I lost my son, essentially. They refer to it as ‘deadnaming’ for a reason. They call it ‘deadnaming’ because your son is no longer alive.”

“After that incident, I pledged to eradicate the woke mind virus,” Musk declared. “And we are making some headway.”

“I no longer reside with or desire any connection to my biological father in any manner,” Wilson wrote in the petition.
