Man Utd Interested in Signing Christopher Nkunku

Published

According to Football Insider, Manchester United are certainly interested in signing one of Chelsea’s in-form players this campaign.

Manchester United have had a sluggish start to the Premier League season, with only 15 points from 11 games. Struggling in the final third, the Red Devils could look to add more creativity to their attacking options in the upcoming transfer window, with Chelsea’s in-form Christopher Nkunku reportedly on their radar, according to Football Insider.

Manchester United’s former scout, Mick Brown, has revealed to Football Insider that the Red Devils are “certainly interested” in signing Christopher Nkunku. United could make a formal move for the in-form Chelsea player either in January or next summer. Nkunku, who may seek regular playing time, could potentially leave the Blues for a new challenge.

Perfect fit

Christopher Nkunku, now in his second season with Chelsea, has struggled to secure a regular starting spot, despite staying fit this campaign. After an injury-plagued first season, the former RB Leipzig forward has yet to become an established figure in the starting XI under manager Enzo Maresca.

Mick Brown, Manchester United’s former scout, told Football Insider that the Red Devils are “certainly interested” in Nkunku and could make a move for him in January or next summer. Nkunku may be looking for more consistent playing time, which could lead to a potential transfer.

Christopher Nkunku, in his second season at Chelsea, has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting XI. With Nicolas Jackson preferred as the main striker and Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke locked into starting roles in the no.10 and right wing positions, Nkunku has largely featured in Carabao Cup and Conference League matches.

He has only one Premier League start this season, with manager Enzo Maresca opting for Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho on the left wing. Given his limited opportunities, Nkunku may seek more regular playing time, prompting Manchester United’s reported interest in him for a potential move in January or next summer.

Christopher Nkunku may seek a new challenge when the transfer window reopens, with Manchester United emerging as a potential destination.

The arrival of Ruben Amorim as head coach could make United a perfect fit for the Frenchman, as Amorim utilizes a 3-4-2-1 formation with two attacking midfielders behind the centre-forward. Nkunku, capable of playing as one of the inverted attackers, could thrive in this system, offering creativity and versatility to United’s attack.

Christopher Nkunku, Chelsea’s top scorer this season with 10 goals in 17 matches, offers versatility, capable of playing up front with his pace and clinical finishing. Despite his impressive form, Nkunku has struggled for regular starts at Chelsea. Manchester United could be a strong fit for the Frenchman, especially with Ruben Amorim’s preferred 3-4-2-1 formation. However, the big question remains whether United can convince Chelsea to agree to a temporary deal with a buy option in January, given Financial Fair Play concerns. Chelsea is reportedly only willing to sell if they can recoup the £52 million fee paid for Nkunku.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are in a three-way race to sign Rodrygo Goes.

Published

on

Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes has been linked to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Manchester City showing interest. Despite denying the rumors and expressing contentment in Madrid, there are signs that a move could be on the cards this summer.

Rumors suggest Rodrygo could leave Madrid this summer for more prominence and a new challenge. According to Relevo (via 90min), Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are interested, with the Brazilian, who has 13 goals and 10 assists this season, potentially available for around £85 million.

Liverpool best placed to sign Rodrygo

Rodrygo Goes has been one of the world’s top players recently. While he hasn’t received as much attention as Jude Bellingham or Vinicius Junior, the 24-year-old remains highly talented. His English teammate even called him the “most gifted” player in the Real Madrid squad, suggesting he’d thrive in the Premier League.

Liverpool, long interested in Rodrygo since his youth days in Brazil, could be well-positioned to sign him, especially if they generate funds by selling Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, or even Luis Diaz. Their sporting project and recent success in multiple competitions would make them an appealing destination for the Real Madrid star.

Arsenal, focused on securing a centre forward, might be reluctant to spend £85 million on Rodrygo. Meanwhile, Manchester United may struggle with both his wage demands and Real Madrid’s asking price, especially given their current financial and sporting challenges compared to other suitors.

Arsenal submit £51 million bid for Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Published

on

Arsenal have missed out on the Premier League title once again and are staring down the barrel in the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain ahead of this week’s second leg. As their search for a major title continues, a striker’s purchase has long been set as the primary goal for this summer’s transfer window in addition to making other signings.

According to El Nacional (via 90min), Arsenal have made a £51 million bid for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres ahead of a potential summer move. With Manchester United also interested since Ruben Amorim’s arrival, the Gunners are keen to act quickly and secure the deal.

Gyokeres has a release clause of around £85 million, and Sporting are reportedly holding out for an offer closer to that figure. As a result, Arsenal may need to raise their bid or turn their attention to other targets like Victor Osimhen or Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal could sign Gyokeres imminently

Sporting Lisbon’s £85 million asking price for Viktor Gyokeres is within Arsenal’s budget and may be worth meeting, given the Swedish striker’s impressive record this season. With 52 goals and 12 assists across all competitions, he leads Europe’s top marksmen in terms of contributions in the final third.

Despite having a long list of targets, Arsenal’s appointment of Andrea Berta as sporting director brings them closer to securing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres, thanks to his strong relationship with the striker’s agent. With little left to focus on this season unless they reach the Champions League final, a move for Gyokeres to England seems imminent.

Arsenal could land Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus for around £50 million.

Published

on

Dusan Vlahovic is expected to leave Juventus this summer as he enters the final year of his contract in Turin without any sign of an agreement owing to a difference in the wage expectations of both parties. He has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal among those most heavily chalked up as his next potential destination.

Mikel Arteta is openly seeking a striker this summer, and Dusan Vlahovic—who has 14 goals and 5 assists this season—is seen as a cost-effective target. With just a year left on his Juventus contract, he could be available for around £50 million, according to Caught Offside.

Vlahovic made a strong impact at Juventus after his standout spell with Fiorentina, but he’s now reportedly open to a move abroad to elevate his game. While Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle previously showed interest, their pursuit has cooled in recent weeks.

A decision to make for Arsenal

Arsenal have explored several striker options in recent months, likely holding talks with multiple targets. However, with defenders, midfielders, and wingers also on their shortlist, it’s crucial they avoid overspending on a single position.

When it comes to signing a striker, Arsenal must soon choose between proven performers like Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres, or a high-potential talent like Dusan Vlahovic. With interest heating up, it seems only a matter of time before a new frontman arrives at the Emirates.
