Man Utd in talks to sign Fluminense star Andre

Published

on

Following a challenging season last year, The Red Devils have been diligently working this summer to enhance their squad with the aim of improving their performance in the upcoming campaign.

The club has already secured the acquisitions of Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui to reinforce their defensive lineup, while Joshua Zirkzee has been brought in from Bologna to add depth to the attacking options.

Nevertheless, acquiring a new midfielder remains a priority for Erik ten Hag ahead of next week’s transfer deadline, with reports indicating that PSG’s Manuel Ugarte is his top target. However, it seems that United also has several other candidates under consideration.

According to TNT Sports, Manchester United has shown interest in Andre and has initiated discussions with the player’s representatives in anticipation of a potential acquisition.

The report further indicates that Wolverhampton Wanderers are also considering a move for the 23-year-old midfielder. Last summer, Andre was linked with a transfer to Liverpool; however, the club ultimately chose to pursue other targets instead of finalizing a deal for him.

Andre is recognized for his technical skills and ability to perform against teams that employ high pressing tactics. He maintains composure in possession and is capable of contributing defensively as well.

Reports suggest that Fluminense may be willing to allow the midfielder to depart if they receive an offer in the vicinity of £21 million. This would enable Manchester United to secure his services at a reasonable price should they formalize their interest. In contrast, Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly seeking around £51 million for Ugarte, making Andre a more economical option.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will take definitive steps to acquire the Fluminense star before the transfer window closes. Meanwhile, following their opening victory against Fulham, Manchester United is set to compete against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League this Saturday afternoon.

“Man Utd Compete with Liverpool for Karim Adeyemi’s Signature”

Published

on

Manchester United are reportedly in competition with Liverpool to sign Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi, according to the Spanish outlet Fichajes.

With Jadon Sancho’s departure this summer, Manchester United currently rely on Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo, and Antony for their wing positions. Despite a significant move from Ajax Amsterdam, Antony has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League and was briefly linked with a move away this summer. Although he chose to stay at Old Trafford, he has since fallen down the pecking order. If he cannot revitalize his form this season, Manchester United may consider selling him next year.

Fichajes reports that Erik ten Hag’s side have shown ‘strong interest’ in Adeyemi and are ‘determined’ to secure his signature in 2025. Adeyemi is reportedly eager to take the next step in his career and is open to moving to the Premier League to pursue greater ambitions.

However, the report claims Liverpool are also plotting a swoop for the German and are ready to provide stiff competition for the record Premier League champions over this deal.

Adeyemi, valued at around £24m by Transfermarkt, still has three years left in his current contract so Dortmund are in a strong position to demand a sizable amount of money to sell their star asset next year.

Juventus were heavily linked with a move for him this summer but they couldn’t manage to get a deal done before the deadline.

With Mohamed Salah’s future still hanging in balance, the Reds are seemingly lining up options to replace him in-case he doesn’t stay at the club. He has entered the final nine months of his current contract but hasn’t committed his future with the Merseyside club yet.

Adeyemi is a versatile forward as he can play anywhere across the frontline. He is quick, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, has the ability to finish off his chances and also works hard without possession.

The 22-year-old is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to become a top-class forward in future so he would certainly strengthen Liverpool or Man Utd’s attack if either club purchase him in 2025.

Tottenham and Man Utd Reach Out to Sign Fermin López

Published

on

It sounds like Fermin Lopez was a player that several clubs had their eye on this summer. With both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United expressing interest, it indicates that Lopez is viewed as a promising talent.

For Tottenham, the addition of Lopez would have provided more depth and competition for James Maddison in the attacking midfield role. Maddison has been a key player for Spurs, but having a strong backup or alternative could help in managing his workload and adding creativity to the midfield.

Manchester United’s interest also underscores Lopez’s potential. Given United’s focus on bolstering their squad, they would have seen Lopez as a valuable addition to their midfield options.

Lopez’s situation at Barcelona, where he might face stiffer competition following Dani Olmo’s arrival, makes him a player worth monitoring. If Barcelona’s squad is too deep in his position, it might open the door for future moves, especially if Lopez is looking for more regular first-team opportunities.

It’ll be interesting to see how Lopez’s career unfolds and whether he eventually moves to a club where he can secure more playing time and further develop his talent.

If Fermin Lopez struggles to secure regular game time at Barcelona this season, it’s quite plausible that he could be on the move in the future. Both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United could indeed renew their interest in him if he becomes available.

Given the current £338 million release clause, it’s clear Barcelona rates Lopez highly, but as you mentioned, his actual market value is around £25 million according to Transfermarkt. The release clause is likely a strategic move to either ward off interest or set a high benchmark for negotiations. If Lopez’s situation doesn’t improve, Barcelona might be more willing to negotiate a lower fee.

For Manchester United, Lopez could be a valuable addition to their squad, particularly if they are still searching for a reliable attacking midfielder. Bruno Fernandes has been crucial for them, and while Mason Mount’s signing was meant to provide depth, his fitness issues have been a concern. Lopez could potentially fill that gap and offer additional creativity and dynamism.

Similarly, Tottenham Hotspur could benefit from having Lopez in their squad to provide competition and support for James Maddison. If Maddison were to be unavailable or if Spurs wanted to rotate their attacking options, Lopez could be a strong candidate.

Lopez’s achievements with Spain, including winning the European Championship and the Gold medal at the Olympics, further highlight his potential and ability. His success on the international stage would make him an appealing target for top clubs looking to strengthen their midfield.

Overall, if Lopez doesn’t get the playing time he needs at Barcelona, his next move could indeed be to one of these Premier League clubs, where he could offer both immediate impact and long-term potential.

Núñez Starts as Slot Makes Key Change | Liverpool XI vs AC Milan

Published

on

Liverpool kick off their Champions League campaign with a challenging away match at San Siro against AC Milan. This will be Arne Slot’s debut in the competition as Liverpool’s head coach, following his appointment from Jürgen Klopp.

Returning to Europe’s premier club tournament after a year-long absence—during which they only qualified for the Europa League—Liverpool will face a strong Milan side.

**Goalkeeper:** Alisson Becker, who conceded his first goal of the season in Liverpool’s loss to Nottingham Forest, remains the first-choice keeper. He will start against Milan, aiming for his fourth clean sheet in the opening five matches of the 2024/25 season.

**Defenders:** Slot is expected to maintain stability in his defensive lineup against Milan’s formidable forwards. The back four will need to be at their best for this challenging test, which is likely their toughest of the campaign so far.

**Liverpool Predicted Line-Up vs AC Milan**

**Defenders:** Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will start as the full-backs, with Virgil van Dijk partnering Ibrahima Konaté in central defense.

**Midfielders:** Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, both underwhelming against Nottingham Forest, are set to feature in Liverpool’s Champions League lineup for the first time. They will play together in a double pivot. Dominik Szoboszlai will also make his debut in the competition as the number 10, flanked by the in-form Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz.

**Forward:** With Diogo Jota showing signs of rust, Arne Slot might rotate his attacking options. Given the squad depth issues and a busy season ahead, Liverpool will need to manage their resources carefully.

Darwin Nunez could replace Jota to make his first start of the campaign. The 25-year-old has only played a measly 62 minutes so far.
