Liverpool and Arsenal target Mohammed Kudus

Published

on

Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

After joining West Ham United from Ajax last year, Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus impressed in the Premier League, registering 14 goal contributions in 27 starts.

The 24-year-old has had a slow start to this season, with a red card against Tottenham Hotspur leading to a suspension. In 11 Premier League appearances this campaign, Kudus has scored two goals and provided one assist. Despite his average performances, he remains an attractive prospect for potential suitors.

Fichajes reports that Liverpool are looking to add dynamism to their squad and have identified West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus as a key target. However, a move won’t come cheap, as the Hammers have set a hefty £90m price tag for the forward ahead of next month.

Battle

Arsenal are also targeting Mohammed Kudus, with Mikel Arteta looking to add a forward to support Bukayo Saka, and Kudus would suit the Gunners’ system. Newcastle United are interested too, but their ongoing FFP struggles make it difficult for them to afford the reported £90m price tag.

Kudus primarily plays on the flanks at West Ham but is also comfortable in attacking midfield and as a centre-forward when needed. He is technically skilled, strong, able to dribble past defenders in tight spaces, has a knack for scoring from distance, and is proficient in taking set-pieces.

The Premier League-proven Kudus would be a shrewd addition for either Arsenal or Liverpool. With Mohamed Salah’s contract expiring at the end of this season, Liverpool will likely need to sign a new forward if he leaves the club.

It will be interesting to see whether Arsenal or Liverpool make a concrete approach to sign Kudus from West Ham next year to strengthen their frontlines.

Tottenham ‘Determined’ to Sign Bastoni

Published

on

Tottenham are reportedly ‘determined’ to sign Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, according to Fichajes.

After rising through Atalanta’s youth system, the 25-year-old joined Inter Milan in 2017. He was loaned to Parma to gain regular playing time before becoming a key player for Inter.

Bastoni is regarded as one of Serie A’s best defenders, having won two Serie A titles and several domestic cups with Inter.

Bastoni has also become a key player for Italy, winning the 2021 European Championship, though he played a more supporting role. Now, Fichajes reports that Ange Postecoglou is ‘determined’ to sign a new centre-back to support Micky van de Ven, with Bastoni identified as a serious target.

Bastoni to Tottenham

Jarrad Branthwaite and Abdukodir Khusanov are also on Spurs’ radar, but signing either could prove difficult, with Khusanov nearing a move to Manchester City.

Spurs have long been interested in Bastoni, with former sporting director Fabio Paratici attempting to secure his signing through connections. However, the deal fell through, and now they’re looking to rekindle their interest.

Bastoni, valued at £63m by Transfermarkt, still has a contract with Inter until 2028. The Italian giants will demand a hefty fee if they are forced to sell him this year.

Spurs have a strong starting XI but lack quality depth, leading to struggles this season amid injuries to key players. Postecoglou’s side sits in the bottom half of the table with 24 points from 21 games, having lost 11 Premier League matches so far.

Bastoni is a top-class player and would be a great addition for Tottenham, but it remains to be seen if they can successfully lure him away from Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

Ruben Amorim wants Rayan Ait-Nouri at Man Utd

Published

on

Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen on signing Wolverhampton’s Rayan Ait-Nouri for Manchester United, according to Caught Offside.

Erik ten Hag led Manchester United to two cup wins in consecutive seasons after becoming manager in 2022. However, following a disappointing start to this season, he was dismissed, and Ruben Amorim has since been appointed as the new head coach.

Despite Amorim’s appointment, Manchester United’s on-field performances have shown limited improvement, and they are currently sitting in the bottom half of the table.

Manchester United have a mediocre squad and need a complete rebuild to turn things around. Strengthening the left-wing-back position should be a top priority.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are Amorim’s options at left-wing-back, but Shaw has struggled with fitness issues, while Malacia has yet to find his best form after recovering from a serious knee injury that kept him out for most of last season.

Ait-Nouri to Man Utd

Amorim has been using Diogo Dalot on the left side of defense, but the right-back has struggled to perform at his best in this role due to his natural position.

Caught Offside reports that Manchester United are willing to offload Malacia, with Juventus showing interest in signing him. As a result, Amorim has identified Rayan Ait-Nouri as his ‘first-choice’ replacement for the former Feyenoord star.

He’s valued at £30m by Transfermarkt, and while buying him in January won’t be cheap, Wolves’ relegation struggle could force them to sell him at a reduced price next summer if they fail to stay up.

The Algerian has contributed eight goals in 20 Premier League appearances this season. He’s quick, technically skilled, capable of threading passes through the lines, dribbling past defenders in tight spaces, and delivering accurate crosses from wide areas.

The defender is a proven Premier League star, making him a great potential signing for Man Utd if they can secure his services.

Arsenal’s interest grows as Vlahovic’s agent meets him

Published

on

According to Tuttosport, Arsenal are keen on signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the winter transfer window.

Arsenal have struggled with scoring in recent weeks, despite a 2-1 win over Tottenham on Wednesday, where they missed several clear chances.

With the need for a reliable striker to lead the attack, Tuttosport reports that the Gunners could approach Juventus for Dusan Vlahovic in the coming days.

The sighting of Dusan Vlahovic and his agent in Turin this week could hint at potential transfer activity, fueling speculation about a move to Arsenal.

Tuttosport adds that Arsenal have a strong interest in Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. Juventus are open to his departure before the transfer deadline, should they receive a significant offer.

Possible deal

Gabriel Jesus has recently regained form, scoring six goals in all competitions, but he will be unavailable for the rest of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained against Manchester United last weekend.

Kai Havertz has faced added pressure following Gabriel Jesus’ injury, as his early-season form has dipped, mirroring the team’s struggles. Arsenal have also felt the absence of Bukayo Saka, who is currently sidelined with an injury.

With the need for another goal-scoring threat, Arsenal could target Dusan Vlahovic. The 24-year-old has been a regular for Juventus, but his role could change with Randal Kolo Muani’s potential arrival on a short-term loan.

Vlahovic, now in the final 18 months of his contract, may be open to a new challenge. Arsenal, who have tracked him since his Fiorentina days, could make an approach before the transfer window closes.

Juventus are asking for £55 million to sell Vlahovic, but Arsenal are cautious of breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules. They may propose a temporary deal with an option to buy this summer.
