Happie Boys Plead for Help from Verydarkman, Seek Jobs
The Happie Boys have created a significant buzz on social media with their appeal to Nigerian critic and activist Martins Martins Vincent Otse, commonly known as Verydarkman.
Their rise to fame began in 2022 when their dancing while on duty led to their unexpected termination, thrusting them into the public eye.
Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, collectively known as the Happie Boys, initially gained notoriety for their on-the-job performances, which ultimately resulted in their dismissal.
However, their rapid rise was marred by controversy when they displayed a lack of respect towards Apostle Chibuzor, the individual who had supported them and financed their education abroad.
This act of perceived ingratitude drew sharp criticism from Verydarkman, who is recognized for his stringent critiques and condemned their overt disrespect.
Currently, the situation has evolved considerably. The Happie Boys have returned to Nigeria and appear to be attempting a fresh start.
Previously, they had ridiculed Verydarkman for his contentious exchanges with brand influencers and celebrities, but they now find themselves in an ironic predicament.
During a live video interaction with their followers, the duo was observed earnestly soliciting job opportunities from Verydarkman. It remains unclear whether their request was made in jest or if they are genuinely in need of assistance.

“I Can’t Do All the Work” — Paul Okoye Stands Firm on P-Square Split
Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has announced his decision to part ways with his twin brother, Peter Okoye. The rift between the siblings intensified when Paul accused Peter of trying to involve the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in his affairs during an interview.
In a candid Instagram Live session, Paul voiced his frustrations, claiming he had shouldered most of the work while others benefited. Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Those days of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop, I no dey do again. I would rather work for myself. Every time, only me dey sing all the songs. I no dey do again.”

Sam Larry and Naira Marley Face Subpoena Threat for Missing Court
Coroner’s Court Warns Naira Marley and Sam Larry of Subpoena for Missing Witnesses’ Hearing
The Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has warned Naira Marley and Sam Larry, among other witnesses, to attend the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death or face subpoenas. Following a request from Mohbad’s father for more witnesses, the court has permitted alternative service.
The hearing, which saw only one key witness present, has been rescheduled to September 30, with subpoenas to be issued if witnesses fail to appear.
At the latest court session, only Boluwatife Adeyemo (Darosha) appeared as a witness. The hearing has been rescheduled to September 30, with the magistrate warning that subpoenas will be issued if other witnesses, including Naira Marley and Sam Larry, fail to attend.
Mohbad’s family has expressed frustration with the police investigation, criticizing their reliance on witness accounts and lack of support for an independent autopsy and toxicology tests. They have called for the removal of officers involved due to alleged mishandling, but the Police Service Commission has yet to respond.
Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023, at 27, has been at the center of controversy, leading to the arrest of his former record label owner, Naira Marley, among others. The Lagos State Police have formed a special team for the investigation and conducted an autopsy after exhuming his body.
