Arsenal Ahead of Liverpool & Chelsea in Race to Sign Marmoush

Published

Arsenal Leading Liverpool and Chelsea in Race to Sign Omar Marmoush This January.

The Gunners are expected to seek an attacking reinforcement next month following a major setback against Crystal Palace. Bukayo Saka suffered a hamstring injury in the London derby at Selhurst Park, and manager Mikel Arteta has acknowledged he may be out for over two months.

Arsenal could enter the transfer market following Saka’s injury. Caught Offside now reports that they are ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Possible deal

Arsenal have faced numerous injuries this season, including a significant dip in form when captain Martin Ødegaard was sidelined with an ankle injury. Saka’s absence could be another major blow to their Premier League title challenge, potentially forcing Arsenal to enter the market for an attacking reinforcement in January.

The Gunners could be open to signing a versatile forward, and Marmoush would be an intelligent choice. The 25-year-old is currently in the peak of his career with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Marmoush has been exceptional this season, with 18 goals and 12 assists in just 24 appearances. While he has played as the main striker, he is also capable of operating from the wing.

Valued at £50 million by Eintracht Frankfurt, a winter transfer could depend on the player’s intentions, as the Bundesliga club may prefer to keep him until the end of the season.

Arsenal are not typically known for spending big during the January transfer window, but they may need to change their stance if they want to stay competitive with Liverpool in the title race.

The club is currently 9 points behind the runaway leaders after 18 games and is now in must-win territory each week. Failing to fill Saka’s void could also impact their prospects in other competitions.

Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has shared his thoughts on denying a rumored romance with Bimpe Oyebade-Adedimeji before their marriage and also shared a funny story about how he proposed to her.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo on the With Chude Podcast, Lateef explained that his wife thought he was joking when he proposed to her over the phone.

He mentioned that Mo Bimpe was initially hesitant due to his Islamic faith and concerns about her father’s approval. He recalled, “I called her and told her I wanted to ask her something, then I told her I wanted to marry her.

She was just joking, like, ‘What is doing this one? Get out! I can’t marry a Muslim; are you okay? My daddy won’t even hear that.

The actor arranged to talk to her father about marrying her, and after some discussion, he agreed. He continued, sharing how the conversation with her father went smoothly, and that he was ultimately able to win their approval for the marriage.

“Then I told her that we’d go see her dad, and I’d speak to him and calm him down. So we went to her village during one of their masquerade festivals, and towards the end, I asked to see her dad. I promised him that I’d take care of his daughter, and he said he’d pray and get back to me, and that was it.

“The proposal wasn’t planned because we just dated for like two, three months and then we got married.”

Lateef and Bimpe celebrated the traditional part of their celebrity wedding in Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Saturday, December 18. This was followed by a Nikhai ceremony on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Omotola also clarified that her move to Nigeria is unrelated to the wildfires. She rejected the claims as false and urged news organizations to correct the errors and promote responsible journalism.

Emphasizing her strong connection to Los Angeles, she expressed love for the community and shared her thoughts and prayers for those affected by the fires, including first responders and families experiencing significant loss.

The actress ended by thanking her fans and expressing hope for recovery and rebuilding in Los Angeles.

In her words:

“Public Statement

Ladies and gentlemen,

Omotola continued:

“I want to take a moment to address the incredible outpouring of concern and support I’ve received over the past few days regarding the fires in Los Angeles. First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you who have reached out with kind words, prayers, and love. Your thoughtfulness means the world to me.”

Omotola added:

“That said, my heart remains in Los Angeles during this difficult time. It is not just a city to me—it’s a home, a community, and a place where countless dreams continue to fly. As the fires continue to threaten lives and homes, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted, from first responders working tirelessly to those who have faced unimaginable loss.”

Omotola ended her statement with:

“This moment is a reminder of how interconnected we all are, regardless of where we stand in the world. It is a call to unity, resilience, and empathy. I invite you all, regardless of where you may be, to join me in praying for Los Angeles and in supporting organizations on the ground making a difference.
